Jabez Shakur is the Founder and CEO of The Maroon Institute of Financial Intelligence, an organization that provides business development and consulting services to small and midsize organizations. With a passion to teach individuals about the importance of understanding finances and investing in real estate, Jabez established The Maroon Real Estate Network, a related organization.
Known as a prolific speaker, mentor and entrepreneur, Jabez has addressed audiences of more than 50,000 people worldwide and has appeared on the Judge Hatchett Show and on Black Entertainment Television (BET). While performing his collegiate studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia he was the Real Estate Association President and the Community Development Chairperson for the Morehouse College Sociological Association.
Now a graduate and board member for the Morehouse College Bonner Scholars Program and the Wise Women Speak Foundation, he continues to work closely with young people to set them on the path of financial freedom early. His youth mentor program “Legendary Leaders and Young Millionaires in Action” empowers high school boys and college students nationwide. Jabez has successfully mentored hundreds of young men, encouraging them to start businesses and to invest in commercial real estate and other financial vehicles.
His philanthropic commitment to community and family is demonstrated through his company, My Life Entertainment, LLC where he hosts and participates in spoken word and entertainment events.
